National Cadet Corps (NCC)

NCC aims to groom students into models of discipline and develops in them character, leadership, a secular outlook and the spirit of selfless service to the nation. Functioning since 1978, our NCC army wing is an infantry unit under 2 Karnataka battalion, Karnataka and Goa directorate. The large NCC unit of the college, numbering 160 cadets presently, is led by a highly experienced officer who is twice recipient of the best NCC officer in the state award. Parade practice is held every weekend in the college quadrangle. Our cadets excel in complex drill formations. They have represented the state at the Republic Day parade in New Delhi. A number of them have gone on to occupy distinguished positions in the Indian armed forces.
